5 bits of advice to my teenage self…

  • Do lots of what makes you happy and surround yourself with positive people

  • Don’t worry so much about what other people think of you. Be unapologetically weird and wonderful and loud and embarrassing!

  • Mistakes are okay - it’s how you learn

  • Don’t be afraid to go after what you want

  • Appreciate the good moments, no matter how small.

About me

As a teenager…

My biggest passion growing up was dancing and singing and all things theatre. Since the age of 2, stumbling around in ballet shoes and a nappy (killer fashion combo), I’ve been hooked on the performing arts. Going on stage just gives me a buzz unlike anything else! I think having a creative outlet when I was growing up shaped me massively; it gave me a form of expression and friends I know will be with me for life. I think having that positive creative outlet is why I feel so passionately about Escape2Make.

Confession: I am still in fact a teenager having just turned 19 this November! I’m currently taking a gap year (or maybe two) with the hope of studying History and Politics in the future. I used to have such set ideas about what it is I wanted to do and exactly when I wanted to do it, but I’ve realised this year that I don’t need to have my entire future mapped out. Right now, with the experience I’m gaining working with Escape2Make, I’m not in any rush!
