Our 2023 Heritage Market Festival was a celebration of Lancaster & Morecambe’s rich heritage, through creative activity that educated 11-18s about the past!
Members of the public came from all round to visit the Heritage Market Festival, an event that showcased pride in local history, through a variety of creative practices. In the run-up to Christmas 2023, people had the option of buying exciting gifts and trinkets that were related to our city’s past, or enjoying some performances on the plinth of Market Square that were based on local heritage. 5-weeks of workshops leading up to the event gave young people a greater sense of their local heritage. The Heritage Market Festival saw hundreds of people visit, many of whom stopped off and watched some thrilling performances or bought some heritage-inspired gifts for their loved ones. It was E2M’s biggest event thus far- and a sign of growth and exciting things to come!
