As a teenager…
I lived in a small village in beautiful countryside, went to lots of parties, applied myself at school in the subjects I liked (the arts), had lovely friends at school but also met a great community of creative people outside of school.
After School…
took a year out, worked as a waitress to make money to travel, and volunteered in Mexico for 3 months. I then studied theatre at the University of Glasgow. In my summer holidays from university I worked on forest school style weeks – through this I met many brilliant people who ended up becoming good friends and work contacts. I went to lots of festivals and started volunteering and working at festivals which is always so fun and creatively inspiring. Whenever I could I travelled and volunteered abroad through websites like workaway, having some incredible experiences. I lived in Edinburgh and worked for charities for 10 years before moving down here.
And Now…
working as a self-employed ceramic artist and workshop leader. My mum was a potter so I learnt ceramics from her. I sell my pottery at craft fairs and on Etsy. I lead workshops at festivals each summer. I also do occasional work as an actress doing street theatre and murder mystery meals! I’ve also recently trained as a birth doula. My most important job though is raising my 2 little boys, taking them on fun adventures near and far.
