Escape2Make believe that all young people deserve access to high quality creative experiences and spaces where they truly feel safe and welcome. Having already delivered over 500 free creative workshops for over 1,000 11-18-year-olds in Lancaster and Morecambe, Escape2Make are now on the verge of establishing their first dedicated, creative youth space.
To celebrate this, and to help young people to make the space their own, we will run 28 free workshops, supporting young people to learn new creative skills, make new friends, and create things that will bring the new space to life.
Over February half term, 125 young people can take part in hands-on, offline activities led by professional artists, which could include upcycling furniture, sustainable textile design and mural painting. Each workshop will create amazing things for the new space, and their activities will then be showcased at a youth-led Escape2Make Fair event, open to all, on Saturday 22nd February 2025.
To be able to do this WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We will never ask young people to pay to attend any of our activities. But we need support to be able to do this, so for the first time we are asking for help from our community through a Crowdfunding campaign.
