Bus Fare a Problem?

We don’t want travel expenses to be an obstacle to anyone attending! Escape2Make will cover your bus fare up to £4 per day for any workshops you attend. Just show your bus ticket to the session facilitator at the end of your workshop to claim back your bus fare!

Tell Me More...

Lancaster has a significant history related to the transatlantic slave trade. Some of this has been preserved by academics and fantastic collectives like the Lancaster Black History Group.

Now you have the opportunity to inform yourself about the rich history of black Lancastrians. Learn the stories of prominent people, places and events.

And choose what to include in your very own tour! Become the tour guides by plotting your route through the city and choosing how to share your learning with the people of Lancaster.

Anything Else?

Please bring a packed lunch along with you to sessions!

Please also check weather reports ahead of sessions and bring appropriate protective clothing and items such as: waterproof jackets, sensible outdoor footwear and suncream.

This workshop will include discussion of sensitive material that may be distressing to some young people.

By signing up you are agreeing to attend both sessions. Please only sign up if you intend on coming along – as you may be taking a space away from someone else if you don’t!

Sessions will be run by professional tour guide and Lancaster Black History group member, Eleanor Levin
