Our Green Club celebrate the beautiful natural world around us by engaging in creative activities to do with nature, our local area, our planet and all things green!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to cook using home-grown or foraged ingredients? Or maybe how to create beautiful household decorations out of natural materials? Perhaps make hand-made gifts like candles or bath bombs?
The group go on nature walks and foraging tours and appreciate all of the creative/artistic things that you can do in outdoor green spaces.
Activities might include: wild cooking; gardening; conservation of local areas; creating wonderous gifts like bath bombs, syrups and cordials; and more!
Sessions will take place in a blend of outdoor settings and in a kitchen space. This means that we recommend keeping an eye on weather reports on the day of sessions and always bringing along suitable clothing and footwear, including waterproofs when necessary. You are welcome to bring along snacks.
Please note, Escape2Make cannot take responsibility for the safety of participants who forage in their own time. Foraging and wild cooking outside of sessions is done at the participants’ own risk.
Where and When?
The group meets every other Wednesday from 5-7pm at Priory Hall, Lancaster (outside Lancaster Castle). Some sessions will involve a trip to Gathering Fields in Over Wyresdale (transport provided) and may require a 4:20pm meeting time at Priory Hall. We will make you aware of these dates when you sign up.
How to sign up
We have a maximum capacity in each session due to minibus spaces when taking the group out on trips, so may have a waiting list. Once you sign up, you will receive an e-mail, either inviting you along or confirming you are on our waiting list.
