Pillow Fort Construction

They say the world is ending, so we’re building a Pillow Fort! Get involved!

When & Where?

Monday 19th August – 12pm-4pm – Out in the Bay, 30-32 Claremont Rd, Morecambe LA4 4HL

Saturday 24th August – 10am-4pm – West End Gardens, 28-29 Marine Rd W, West End, Morecambe LA3 1BY

Bus Fare a Problem?

We don’t want travel expenses to be an obstacle to anyone attending! Escape2Make will cover your bus fare up to £3.50 per day for any workshops you attend. Just show your bus ticket to the session facilitator at the end of your workshop to claim back your bus fare!

Tell me more...

Working as a group, use your imagination and co-design a Pillow Fort for the Apocalypse.

You will not only need to design the fort but also to contribute to its ‘identity’, deciding together on a name, flag, manifesto, playlist, and anything else you feel it might need.

Then, at Green Festival, you will present your Pillow Fort to the public, using the opportunity to engage them in activities (crafts, entertainment, discussion, education) responding to the theme of climate change.

The Pillow Fort at Green Festival will also be a space to watch films made by our E2M Film Club.

Call it a pillow fort for the apocalypse! Call it your blanket manifesto! Call it a soft space for hard conversations! Call it what you want, it’s your space after all.

Anything Else?

Pizza and light snacks will be provided! Feel free to bring your own snacks and water, but you won’t need a packed lunch.

By signing up you are agreeing to attend the session AND the Green Festival.

The pillow fort construction will be led by artist, poet & environmentalist, Matt Sowerby
